Infrared features
The Thermapen IR infrared thermometer with probe has a target ratio of 5:1, so the thermometer should be positioned as close to the target as possible for accurate readings. The default emissivity is 0.95, but it can be adjusted between 0.1 and 1.0. Use the mode button to view max/min infrared readings.
Compact and hygienic design
Quickly and easily switch between surface and internal temperature measurements with the Thermapen IR. Featuring a compact design for easy transportation, this infrared thermometer is designed to make temperature checks simple. The display automatically rotates 360°, making it easy to read from any angle and in either hand.
The Thermapen infrared thermometer casing includes Polygiene BioMaster product protection to reduce bacterial growth.
How does the Thermapen IR work?
When the penetration probe is open, the thermometer will read internal temperatures using the probe. When the probe is closed, simply press the scan button to display the surface temperature.

With a high accuracy of ±0.4 °C, the Thermapen IR will measure internal temperatures in just three seconds. It is also provided with a FREE traceable calibration certificate so you can be confident in the accuracy of your readings.
The thermometer features a motion-sensing sleep mode when the penetration probe is open. This automatically turns the instrument on/off when set down or picked up, maximising battery life.
