Mosaic 80: live every cook’s dream
If you’re an accomplished cook who dreams of Spanish alfresco cooking, why not make it a daily reality with a Fuego Mosaic 80 wood fired pizza oven? This well-proportioned clay pizza oven is made to order, by hand, by artisan Spanish craftsmen and finished in a choice of three coloured mosaic domes.
The range and quality of the cooked food that emerges from the Mosaic 80 is astounding and the subtle smoky chargrilled taste is quite simply unmatched by any other outdoor pizza ovens for sale in the UK.
It’s the perfect size for a good-sized gathering of foodie family and friends and its design makes it a real centrepiece for your garden. The glazed mosaic finish on the outer dome of this garden pizza oven catches the sun and also the eye and you can choose from either an evocative green Atlantico, entrancing azure blue Mediterraneo or rousing red Volcanico.
Hand-made the centuries old way
The clay wood oven has been around for centuries and in fact, the specific fire clay used to make every Fuego outdoor wood fired pizza oven is from the Castile region of Spain and has been used since ever since Roman times. Why? Because this special clay has unrivalled refractory qualities that makes our ovens incredibly efficient at retaining their heat.
The way they are made has hardly changed, either. They are still made in the traditional way by artisan oven makers with a minimum of ten years’ experience at their craft. From one large piece of Castile fire clay, they build up the clay pizza oven dome and shape it entirely by hand. Once dried, it is then fired for 24 hours at 1000℃.They then carefully clad it in not one but five layers of insulation before applying the final render and your choice of Atlantico, Mediterraneo or Volcanico mosaic finish.
Personalised by artisan craftsmen
Even once you have chosen the size of your wood fired oven and which mosaic finish you require, you can personalise it further. You’ve the options of a standard oven door or one with a fireproof window, various chimneys and a wealth of authentic Spanish cooking accessories.
The result is a stunning bespoke garden pizza oven that reflects your cooking style, design preferences and your unique personality.
Pizza oven doesn’t do it justice
Most people casually refer to a Fuego wood fired clay oven as a home pizza oven. That, however, really belittles its incredibly diverse cooking repertoire. For instance, did you know you can cook a full Sunday Roast with all the trimmings in the Mosaic 80? Also, that you can bake, barbecue, smoke, pan cook and even slow cook beautifully tender meats in one.
The Mosaic 80 wood-fired oven is set over a steel reinforced concrete base measuring 1100mm wide x 1100mm deep and 70mm thick, with steel eye bolts set over each corner for ease of lifting and positioning.
Height and Weight
The Mosaic 80 wood-fired oven has an overal height of 810mm and weighs 800kg.
The Mosaic 80 wood-fired oven has a 700mm diameter internal cooking floor. Unlike other wood fired ovens that use cooking tiles inside the oven, the entire floor inside the Mosaic 80 oven is flat and can be utilised for cooking.
The Mosaic 80’s oven dome is made entirely from a single piece of Spanish fire clay, known for its refractory qualities for thousands of years, meaning excellent heat retention. This special fire clay stores heat for longer, ensuring crispy pizza bases and excellent cooking ability for hours on end. Due to the dense and insulating materials used in the Mosaic 80, the oven can be used in its core form, without the need for extra insulation and building works.
The Mosaic 80’s oven flue is placed outside the oven cooking chamber with a handle to open or close the flue vent. The diameter of the oven flue is 125mm. This smart design means that when the door is closed, and the flue vent is shut off, the oven will provide maximum heat retention, low wood consumption and especially useful for baking and other cooking techniques in a wood fired oven. Ovens with centralised flue vents in the oven dome result in sub-standard heat retention and higher fuel consumptions. Please note all flues, flue vents, handles and oven doors arrive in a matte black stove paint finish.
Every oven comes with a precision thermometer dial, which can heat up to 500℃. The oven flue vent, cast iron door vent and thermometer dial will allow you to control and regulate your oven’s cooking temperature.
